Full-length TOEFL mock tests
The only way to find out what your Speaking sounds like after 80 minutes with no break is to actually get there.
A PrepScore TOEFL mock runs the whole 2026 format end to end: Reading → Listening → Writing → Speaking in about 90 minutes with no break, with Reading and Listening branching on your real stage-one accuracy. 10 papers are available, graded from a basic tier up to full-difficulty papers.
What a mock reproduces
- Section order and timing — Reading, Listening, Writing, Speaking, on separate clocks, in one sitting.
- No break, because the real test has none.
- A live adaptive branch in Reading and Listening: your stage-one answers are re-scored on the server and decide which stage two you get.
- Band scoring per section, with the total shown as the average of four.
- Every mock answer feeds your mistake bank, so the review afterwards is already assembled.
Papers by tier
| Tier | Built from | Band range it can show |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | Entry and basic-layer material | Up to about 4.5 |
| Bridge | Basic into advanced | Up to about 5.0 |
| Full | Full test-difficulty material | Up to 6.0 |
A paper built entirely from basic-layer questions cannot demonstrate band 5 work, however well you do on it — the same reason the real test’s easier adaptive branch has a lower ceiling. Each tier therefore carries its own band range, so a strong score on a basic paper is never mistaken for a strong band.
Writing and Speaking in a mock
The auto-scored parts — Reading, Listening and Build a Sentence — are graded immediately. Your email and academic discussion responses go into the grading queue and come back with a band and sentence-level feedback against the official rubric. The total band stays blank until Writing and Speaking have a graded band, because averaging over sections you have no score for would invent a number.

Frequently asked questions
How long is a TOEFL mock test?
About 90 minutes — the same as the real 2026 test, in one sitting with no break.
Is the mock adaptive like the real test?
Yes, in Reading and Listening. Your stage-one answers are re-graded on the server and decide whether stage two is the harder or easier set — the branch is never taken from a score the browser reports.
How many TOEFL mock tests are there?
10 papers, spread across basic, bridge and full tiers. Mock questions are kept out of the practice pool so a paper is never spoiled in advance.
Why is my total band blank after a mock?
Because the TOEFL total is the average of four section bands. Until your Writing and Speaking responses have been graded, only two of the four exist — and averaging the two you have would overstate your score.
